ITC will be hosting the 2nd Annual Women In Mining Africa Conference from 23 to 25 February 2011 at Goldreef City, Johannesburg, where over 100 mining companies come together to discuss solutions in attracting & retaining women in mining. Although last year's conference leaned towards the challenges facing women in mining, this year will focus on the productive role women can play in the mine. Mining companies will discuss how they are promoting women to choose a career in mining and support existing female employees in a male dominated environment. The top 3 speakers from the last conference will be back and confirmed speaker companies include, Central Rand Gold, Anglo Platinum, Harmony Gold, Gold field, Nkomati Mine just to name a few. You will also hear from women miners who are at the core face and how they manage their day-to-day job.
